How we are all waiting for the summer, with its warmth, holidays (if possible), beach, pool, picnics in the park ,,,
Summer is the time of Pitta dosha, the transformative energy, that helps us to digest, absorb, and assimilate.
Apart from fuelling our digestive powers to transform food into nutrients that our body can use, it is also our ability to digest all impressions which entre through our senses, so everything that we see, hear, smell, and touch.
During the summer months, Pitta dosha is naturally dominant in the atmosphere, and can therefore imbalance within us easily as well.
Imbalanced Pitta dosha can show as acidity, inflammations skin related changes like rashes or sunburn, burning eyes. On the emotional level we can get irritable, angry and jealous.
Especially if our constitution is Pitta dominant and we tend to experience these changes more frequently, it is therefore good to be extra vigilant during that time of the year.
